Your interests, Not Special Interests

Since we launched our campaign last year to change the culture of Washington, I’ve crisscrossed across the district, holding town halls throughout our neighborhoods in each the three counties (pre-Covid-19).

The past few months have been trying for many. The challenges of these times have touched me personally. However, they have also shown me what makes this community special — our collective resolve to help each other. When the COVID-19 crisis hit our area, I immediately suspended our campaign and repurposed our grassroots team to help our neighbors. For me, it was a very easy decision.

Once I saw the success of our initial outreach, our campaign organized an official team to continue the good work of community assistance. We called it the Neighborhood Pandemic Preparedness Team (NPPT), modeled after the Neighborhood Safety Watch program, and for the past few weeks we have been able to empower new neighborhood leaders to help their own communities get through this pandemic.

There was so much misinformation out there. We held over 23 town hall meetings with healthcare professionals, stimulus package experts, college admission counselors, and more. Check them out at These town halls provided career advice for those laid-off and grappling for answers, information to local businesses regarding loan applications and how to make use of the stimulus package, and college admissions counseling to parents and students worried about a post COVID-19 world. Our Coronavirus page even provided an informative newsletter that was updated daily by our intern team.

I am so proud of what we have accomplished together. Hundreds of NPPT members have helped thousands of residents so far. This past weekend, we finished calling all 86,000 seniors of our district. Many of our volunteers are young high school and college students who have generously given their time and energy to this program. All of our volunteers have together proven just how much we care about seeing our communities succeed during these trying times.

I seek your help to withstand the onslaught of Special Interest Groups and PACs “Big Money” that have exerted their influence upon the narrative of American politics — right here in this district. This is the reason why the interests of our district residents and the American people are NOT being met.

Silicon Valley needs a vigorous champion in Congress. We intend doing exactly that!

We need engaged leaders who understand the current Silicon Valley challenges of Covid-19, housing, transportation along with complex topics such as Net Neutrality and the impact of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning upon our future economy. We need leaders who are invested to take real action.

I am NOT a career politician but an engineer and a hi-tech software executive. Clearly my success in tech has defined who I am today. That is why I see my years of public service as an opportunity to solve problems and make it better for the people. Just ask anyone in Saratoga.

While many of our elected leaders speak in jargons, slogans and solicit funds from lobbyists, I am advocating for proven policies like bringing an innovative Silicon Valley agenda to the rest of America and fearlessly stepping up for our community’s top challenges, just like we did to prevent rising water bills and reducing crime — all while rejecting special interest donations.

My run is all about protecting the interests of the people with citizen-centric behavior. I am saying NO to all special interest money. Will you donate right now to support our campaign ?

Special interests will try to block our progress.

But, I am standing up to them because of supporters like you. That’s the kind of grassroots campaign we’re building together.

I thank you for your positive words and candid feedback to our campaign so far. It is very encouraging.

I know that together we can only win!

With warm regards,
