Issues of every citizen
Knowing the issues straight from our neighbors has been very important to me. When I was running for city council, I knocked on every door in our city, having thousands of conversations understanding the neighborhood concerns and aspirations. That was helpful to me in addressing the top challenges of my community. I was re-elected with the most votes in city history.
This is the reason why I have held 3 face-to-face monthly town hall meetings — one in each county — since April 2019.
That is also the reason why I have visited some of the far flung corners of San Mateo County and Santa Cruz County. During conversations, I heard about the challenges with fire insurance, emergency communication, transportation, broadband amongst others. They are all part of my agenda for Congress — see my views on fire insurance here. I will be back again to meet you after the March primaries to continue our conversation. You can count on that! Every corner of this district holds equal importance for me.
Here is a contrast of vision and ballot statement between two Democrats, Rishi Kumar and Rep. Anna Eshoo. I am the only Democrat in this race to reject PAC and Special Interest Group campaign contribution.
Isn’t it time someone brought a new vision, a new way?
