I am a candidate running for U. S Congress from California

I am writing to request the Critical Needs Assistance (CNA) filing cut-off from FEMA for California’s lighting strike fires wildfire extended until October 31st. It was only extended by a week, not good enough.

Many, many folks did not even know about the $500 grant for CNA. Life was disrupted for thousands and it is unfair that they they could not benefit from the grant, given the narrow window they were given.

FEMA is reputed to help those affected by natural disasters, and, with nearly 1,000 houses lost, we would really appreciate your help
